When: November 20-29, 2016
Where: Bengaluru and New Delhi, India
What: The National Youth Commission, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industries and the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, opens the application to the 2016 ASEAN-India Students Exchange Program in Bengaluru and New Delhi, India. The program is a ten-day cultural program that aims at promoting international goodwill & cultural understanding amongst promising young individuals, developing their potential as future leaders in government, business & civil society.
Eligibility:
- Filipino (currently-enrolled college, masteral, or PhD students with background in Asian Studies, India Studies, ASEAN-India Relations) - 20-26 years old - With good communication skills - Philippine passport holder (valid until June 2017) - Mentally and physically fit to travel - With thorough knowledge of Philippine history, culture, and current events - Must be able to attend the pre-departure briefing on November 19, 2016 and the program proper on November 20-29, 2016 - Must be willing to be an NYC volunteer or to participate in post-program activities
Requirements:
- Accomplished NYC International Programs Application Form - Scanned copy of valid passport - Certification from college or university that applicant is currently enrolled - An essay of not more than 1500 words answering the following questions: A) what are your expectations about the program? B) once accepted, what do you think can you contribute to the program? C) what are your plans after you return from the program?
